Digital Actors

1. Is this acting or is this animation?
I'd have to say that this involves elements from both acting and animation.  I say this because for this movie the actors were given special equipment to act with, the equipment that they wearing sensed each motion and facial expression they made which were than transferred into a computer that turned them into animation.

2. Do you think that animated character should be eligible for acting awards?
I think that based on this movie that in a way you could say that they do deserve an award, but at the same time i would say that they don't really deserve them because they were made from the actions a real person did with equipment that were mentioned in question 1.

3. Do you think that human actors will ever become obsolete? Why or why not?
Personally in my opinion i believe that one day human actors may become obsolete because, as shown in the trailer for Assassins Creed Brotherhood, the animation in our day and age has become so amazing that it looks like the characters in the game are played by real people.

From Spray Can to light: Graffiti Revisited

Light Graffiti

In this picture the light art is used in a very unique way.  In this situation the artist used light art to make seem as if the car is going extremely fast, although in reality the car may or may not be just stationary.  The way the artist drew the lines of light was very well done.

Street Graffiti

I picked this picture for my favourite example because from a certain angle it looks as if the ground were ice and there was a huge gap in the centre.  This example took a lot of effort, simply from looking at the piece you can see the it took a very long time to draw this.  This artwork also makes use of angles similarly to how it was used in the light graffiti picture I selected.

Light Graffiti Vs. Street Graffiti

Light Graffiti and traditional Street Graffiti are very similar in many many ways.  Both are a form of art artists use to express themselves in a very unique style.  Another way they are similar is that unlike traditional art their tools and be bought anywhere and is more easily acquired.  By saying they have many similarities you could also say that there are also many differences.  One major difference they have is that street graffiti is illegal in the sense that it is vandalism, while on the other hand light graffiti isn't really permanent but can be kept on a photo for a very long time.
